Candle is one of symbols of Christmas.

The Christians all over the world light a candle on Christmas Eve. Candle is essential part of Christmas because its light represents Jesus, who brings the light to our world.

The real light, which brighten every person.

Candle can bring light to fight the darkness.

Light always mastered the darkness and never be swallowed by darkness, no matter how small that light. Candle sacrificed itself in order to produce light. Without sacrifice, it’s hard to be light. Candles symbolize the courage to give light.

Buche de Noel

This is my favorite Christmas cake. It's look so warm and delicious!
Buche de Noel is the French name for a Christmas cake shaped like a log. This one is a heavenly flourless chocolate cake rolled with chocolate whipped cream. Traditionally, Buche de Noel is decorated with confectioners' sugar to resemble snow on a Yule log.

these are the ingredients:
•2 cups heavy cream
•1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
•1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
•1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•6 egg yolks
•1/2 cup white sugar
•1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
•1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
•1/8 teaspoon salt
•6 egg whites
•1/4 cup white sugar
•confectioners' sugar for dusting

Santa Claus?

St. Nicholas was born in 280 AD, in Patara, a city of Lycia, in Asia Minor. He became the gift giver of Myra. His gifts were given late at night, so that the gift giver's identity would remain a secret. St Nicholas was eventually named the patron saint of children, sailors, Russia and Greece.

St. Nicholas was a Christian priest, who later became a bishop. He was a rich person, and traveled the country helping people, giving gifts of money and other presents. St. Nicholas did not like to be seen when he gave away presents, so the children of the day were told to go to sleep quickly or he would not come! Nothing has changed and Santa Claus will not arrive this Christmas unless the children go to sleep early.

A famous story about St. Nicholas, is about a poor man who had no money to give to his three daughters on their wedding day. St Nick dropped bags of gold into the stockings which the girls had left to dry by the fire. The sisters found the gold and ever since, children have hung up stockings on Christmas Eve hoping that they will be filled with presents by Christmas morning.

sad love story.. [part 4]

Honk ~ HOnk ~
with a loud honk, a big truck was heading towards him.

"jin! Move! Move away!!" I shouted.
But he didn't hear me, he squatted down and picked up the doll...




HONK!
"Booomm!!" that sound, so terrifying.

that's how he went away from me. that's how he went away without even opening his eyes to say one word to me.

after that day, I had to go through everyday with guiltiness and sadness of losing him.. and after I spend two months like a crazy person, I took out the dolls. those were the only gifts he left me since the day we were started going out.

I remembered the day I spent with him and started to count the days..when we were in love.. T__T
"one.. two.. three.. "

that's how I began...
"four hundred and eighty four.. four hundred and eighty five.."
it all ended with 485 dolls. then I started to cry again, with a doll in my arm..

I hugged it tightly. then suddenly..
"I love you ~ I love you ~ "
I dropped the doll, shocked.

"I...love...you??" I picked up the dolls and press its stomach.
"I love you ~ I love you ~ "

It can't be!! I pressed all the dolls' stomach as it piled on the side.

"I love you ~ " those words came out nonstop.

I.. love you..
Why didn't I realize that.. That his heart was always by my side, protecting me. Why didn't I realize that he love me this much...
I took out the doll under the bed and pressed its stomach..this was the last doll, the one fell on the road. It had his blood on it.

the voice came out.. the one that I was missing so much..
"Jo.. do you know what today is?
we have been loving each other for 486 days. I couldn't say I love you.. Um.. since I was too shy..
If you forgive me and take this doll, I will say that I love you.. everyday.. till I die.. Jo, I love you.."

tears came flowing out of me. why? why?? I asked God, why do I only know about all this now? he can't be by my side, but he loved me until his last minute...



for that reason, to me.. it became courage to live a beautiful life..

It's better to lose your pride with someone you love.. rather than lose someone that you love with your useless pride..

that was what he said. then he ran off. my legs felt numb..and I collapsed to the ground. he didn't want to say it easily. how could he.. I felt that.. maybe he is not the right guy for me..

after that day, I stranded myself at home crying, just crying. he didn't call me, although I was waiting. he just continued handing me a little doll every morning outside my house. that's how those dolls piled up in my room..
after a month, I got myself and went to school. but what made the pain resurface was that..

that's how he ignored my 'three words' and handed me a doll. then he dissapeared, like he was running away. the dolls I received from him everyday, filled my room..one by one. there were many..


then one day come. my 15th years old birthday. when I got up in the morning, I pictured a birthday party with him, and stranded myself in my room, waiting for his call.

but, lunch passed, dinner passed.. and soon the sky was dark.. he still didn't call... it was already tiring to look at the phone anymore. then around 2 am in the morning, he suddenly called me and woke up me from my sleep. he told me to come out of the house. still, I felt joy and I ran out happily..

"Jin.."
"here, take this..."
again, he handed me a little doll.
"what's this?"
"I didn't give it to you yesterday, so I am giving it to you now.. I'm going home now, bye."

"wait, wait! do you know what today is?"
"today? huh?"

I felt so sad, I thought he would remember my birthday. he turned around and walking away like nothing had happened. then I shouted...

i have a boyfriend who grow up with me. his name is Jin.
i always thought of him as a friend until last year, when we went to a trip from a club. i found that i fell in love with him.
before that trip was over, i took a step and confessed my love for him.
and soon, we became a pair of lovers. but we love each other in different way.
i always concentrated on him only, but to him, maybe i was just another girl..


"Jin, do you want to watch a movie?" i asked.
"i can't"
"why? do you need to study at home?" i felt disappointment grabbing me.
"no.. i'm going to meet a friend.."

he always like that. he met girls in front of me like it was nothing.
the word 'love' only came out from my mouth. since i know him, i had never heard him say 'i love you' before. to us, there weren't any anniversary at all. he didn't say anything from the first day and it continued until 100 days.. 200 days..

everyday, before we say goodbye, he would just hand me a doll. everyday.. without fail. i don't know why.. till one day..

Yesterday I watched this movie in my school. It was english class, and my teacher wanted us to learn from the story.
And you know what? we were not only learn the english, but also learned about life. This movie was really good. Many of my friends (including me) was crying when the movie reach its climax.

After the class ended, I searched for all soundtracks of 3 idiots. and I really love 'Jaane Nahin Denge'. This song.. it has a deep meaning..
it is played when one of 3 idiots try to suicide.

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell. He painted a sign advertising the pups and set about Nailing it to a post on the edge of his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the post, he Felt a tug on his overalls. He looked down into the Eyes of a little boy.
Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your puppies."
"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat off the back of his neck, "these puppies come from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

Excellent Bathroom

I wish that I could have my own bathtub at home, because I love to have some kinds of refreshing bath sessions with my favorite aromatherapy on the tub after a long day at work. But that would only possible to be done if I have some kinds of excellent bathroom. I don’t have a tub in my bathroom now, so I can’t get a nice bath at all.

Beloved Prince

When the time had come, Mary and Eugene had gone through wonderful 34 years of marriage. Mary had lot of love calls for Eugene, but the one that she likes most was ’Prince Eugene’. However, on 24th October 1995, when it was only 3 months more they would celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary, unexpectedly Eugene died. Mary’s heart broke.

Seasons changed and time passed. It was Valentine’s Day. Mary could not stand in this loneliness alone. So she took a step out from their home and went into bazaar at the centre of city. There, she looked around to many stands and nothing was interesting for her.
Suddenly, her eyes fixed on Camellias in the corner of bazaar. Those flowers were beautiful, full bloomed and pure white. These Camellias reminded her about flowers on her wedding. Without any doubts she bought a bundle and brought it home.

one day, a boyfriend gave a challenge to his girlfriend.
to live without him, and there will be no communication between them for 1 day.

the girl .. gladly, she accepted that challenge.

cocoon

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further.

So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.

The butterfly then emerged easily.

I've Learned

his big shoes

It was an unseasonably hot day. Everybody it seemed, was looking for some kind of relief, so an ice cream store was a natural place to stop.

A little girl, clutching her money tightly, entered the store. Before she could say a word, the store clerk sharply told her to get outside and read the sign on the door, and stay out until she put on some shoes. She left slowly, and a big man followed her out of the store.

He watched as she stood in front of the store and read the sign: "No Bare Feet." Tears started rolling down her cheeks as she turned and started to walked away.
Just then the big man called to her. Sitting down on the curb, he took off his size-12 shoes, and set them in front of the girl saying, "Here, you won't be able to walk in these, but if you sort of slide along, you can get your ice cream cone."

Then he lifted the little girl up and set her feet into the shoes. "Take your time," he said, "I get tired of moving them around, and it'll feel good to just sit here and eat my ice cream."

The shining eyes of the little girl could not be missed as she shuffled up to the counter and ordered her ice cream cone.

He was a big man, all right. Big belly, big shoes, but most of all, he had a big heart.

an empty box

The story goes that some time ago, a man punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the child tried to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Daddy."

The man was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, but his anger flared again when he found out the box was empty. He yelled at her, stating, "Don't you know, when you give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside? The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, "Oh, Daddy, it's not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you, Daddy."

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness.

Only a short time later, an accident took the life of the child. It is also told that her father kept that gold box by his bed for many years and, whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each one of us, as humans beings, have been given a gold container filled with unconditional love and kisses... from our children, family members, friends, and God. There is simply no other possession, anyone could hold, more precious than this.

Never afraid to love

my favorite game lately

Well .. I must say that I'm a bit lazy to take care of the blog lately.. This is all because a new game that my friends introduced to me. The game I mentioned is Seal Online.

Seal Online is an animated fantasy game with an interesting graphic style. Unlike other Asian games, players in Seal Online have the option to select their first class during character creation but can opt to start as a beginner to try the game out before making a class choice at level 10. Similarly, players are given three starting town choices with one being a newbie town. Seal Online isn’t a revolutinary MMORPG but has many unique features and more than an average amount of starting classes.
The classes are:

Beginner - This choice is for those who are uncertain of what class they want to play. Beginners can experience the game freely until level 10 at which time they can either make the first class change or continue to play as jobless Vegabonds, an ill advised choice.
Knight - Knights have the highest defense and make the best tank class. They use one handed swords and have a hard time leveling alone during the early stages. The most important stats for a Knight are strength and agility and some vitality.
Warrior - The offensive melee class, Warriors use two handed swords to deal high damage. Their most important stats are strength and agility.
Magician - Masters of offensive spells. Magicians have low defense but make up for it with powerful long ranged attacks. Their most important stats are intelligence and wisdom.
Cleric - Cleric are a supportive class with healing and buffing spells but are also capable melee fighters. Stats that are important to cleric include strength, intelligence, and wisdom.
Clown - The rogues of Seal Online. Clowns use daggers or throwing weapons and prefer speed over brute force. Clowns rely on agility, strength and intelligence.
Craftsman - The merchant class that can create powerful equipment. Craftsman protect themselves with large mallets if required. Their primary stats are luck for crafting and strength for increased damage.

Each class has two second class options available after reaching level 150. The level cap in Seal Online is over 200 so there is plenty of grinding to be done!

Eagles & Storm

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks?
The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.

Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weight us down, it is how we handle them.

Reasons

Once a lady when having a conversation with her lover, asked:

Lady : Why do you like me..? Why do you love me?

Man : I can t tell the reason.. but I really like you..

Lady : You can t even tell me the reason... how can you say you like me? How can you say you love me?

Man : I really don t know the reason, but I can prove that I loveU.

Lady : Proof? No! I want you to tell me the reason. My friend's boyfriend can tell her why he loves her but not you!

Man : Ok..ok!!! Erm...because you are beautiful,

because your voice is sweet,

because you are caring,

because you are loving,

because you are thoughtful,

because of your smile,

because of your every movements.

The lady felt very satisfied with the man s answer.

Unfortunately, a few days later, the Lady met with an accident
and went in comma.

Now can you talk? No! Therefore I cannot love you.

Because of your care and concern that I like you..

Now that you cannot show them, therefore I cannot love you.

Now can you smile? Now can you move?

No, therefore I cannot love you...

If love needs a reason, like now,

There is no reason for me to love you anymore.

Does love need a reason? NO!

Therefore, I still love you...

Truffles for Valentine's Day!

Hey.. do you guys already have a plan for giving gifts for your beloved people? =) maybe a card, chocolate cake, flowers, or.. maybe truffles?? yea.. my beloved is a coffee-lover, so i decided to give him truffles with coffee sensation ^^

here's the ingredients:
7 oz (200 g) milk chocolate
2 oz (60 ml) strong hot coffee, preferably espresso
4 oz (110 g) dark semisweet chocolate (45-60% cocoa)

and .. this is how we make it:

1. Break the milk chocolate into small pieces and melt with coffee over hot water.
2. Whisk gently until the mixture is smooth. Let cool in the refrigerator overnight covered by plastic wrap.
3. Scoop a small tablespoon of chocolate mixture and roll the truffle balls in your hands; be careful to avoid melting the balls. The size (diameter) should be about 1 inch (2.5 cm). Alternatively, shape the truffles by using a melon baller.
4. Cool them in the refrigerator before coating with melted dark chocolate.
5. Melt the dark chocolate over hot water and cool the melted chocolate to 95 degrees F (35 degrees C) or less but do not let the mixture harden.
6. Coat the cold truffle balls by rolling them rapidly in the melted chocolate using a fork and a teaspoon.
7. Place the truffles on a cookie sheet and put in the fridge until the chocolate coating is hard.
8. The truffles should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Take them out of the fridge approximately two hours before serving.

hatred

someday, a teacher of kindergarten held a 'game' for her students.
the teacher told each child to bring a plastic bag with potatoes within. they must named each potatoes with the name of people who they hate. so, the number of potato is not determined. it depends on the number of people you hate.

On the agreed day each student brought the potatoes in a plastic bag. They brought 2, 3 or even 5. As their teacher ordered each potato in accordance named names of people they hate.

the students must bring that potatoes wherever they go, even to the toilet, for a week ahead.
day by day, those potatoes began to rot. children start to complain, especially those who carrying 4 or 5 potatoes. the potatoes were heavy and smelled very bad.

finally, one though week passed. all children were very relieved.

teacher: "how it feel to bring a bag of potatoes for a week?"

then all of student start to complaining about the rotten potatoes and how heavy they are.
then the teacher explained what the meaning of the 'game' they did.

teacher: "such like that is the hatred which always we carry when we can't forgive others. it was very uncomfortable carrying rotten potatoes wherever we go. it just for a week.. how will it be if we carrying hatred for a lifetime?"

Therefore let's learn to forgive each other.. because by forgiving we can feel peace. it is difficult, we know that. but we can do it! ^^

Moving

I was sitting and staring at my text books to deal with my math test ahead, when a thought crossed my mind.. this is kinda boring here. Facing same activities from day to day.. nothing special. Maybe it will be better if I get move to somewhere else. Get a new atmosphere, start a new adventure ~

Then I surfed the internet, and I found that get moved is not easy. It might be exciting, but also stressing. It is not just about relocating our belongings, but there is a lot to think about and even more to do. As exciting as it is, it can also full of worries. Hmmm.. maybe some of you are facing the same problem?

Potato Farmer

Potato farmer was sent to to prison just at time when he should have been digging the ground for planting the new crop of potatoes.
He knew that his wife would not be strong enough to do the digging by herself, but that she could manage to do the planting,
and he also knew that he did not have any friends or neighbors who would be willing to do the digging for him.
So he wrote a letter to his wife which said “Please do not dig the potato field. I hide the money and the gun there.”
Ten days later, he got a letter from his wife. It said, “I think somebody is reading your letter before they go out of prison. Some policeman arrived here two days ago and dug up the whole field. What shall I do now?”

The prisoner wrote back at once. “Plant the potatoes, of course!”

Love & Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,
"Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

Story of Two Frogs

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them

jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the
other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to
them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the
entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging
word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it
through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes
to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your
path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand
that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in
difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time
to encourage another.

New York City, which is geographically the largest city in the state and most populous in the United States, is known for its history as a gateway for immigration to the United States and its status as a financial, cultural, transportation, and manufacturing center. No doubt, because New York is just one great big playground. There are so many great, fantastic things to do and see in the sparkling city of New York. It has always been known as the city that doesn’t sleep and that’s because the nightlife and entertainment is some of the best in the world.
I really want to see everything wonderful at that city, and I’m sure a lot of you are interested to, but New York is such a large and diverse city, it's tough to really see and do everything in a short amount of time.
